DRAP ART
Again this year it will take place, from Oct. 5th – 14th, in the Contemporary Cultural Centre of Barcelona, CCCB, DRAP ART (International Arts Festival of Catalunya). It is a collection of works of art which materials used to created them are recycled, that means that the artist has found them, usually, thrown away.
This exhibit is not just what you can see in the main gallery of the CCCB, it also hosts other activities such as intervention over the public space, spaces to think about recycling, and even also films. All of that from a point of view friendly with the environment.
For a couple of years already, I have always visited DRAP ART, and it is most certainly very suggestive the way the artist create pieces of art from totally random objects that they have found by chance. I think it is a very interesting exercise of creativity that is worth visiting.
